A Statewide Digital Transformation
Launched statewide on June 25, 2018, by the then Honorable Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, the KSP App represents a fusion of technology, transparency, and compassion. With its user-friendly features and real-time updates, the app empowers citizens, strengthens law enforcement efficiency, and builds a foundation of trust.
Key Achievements of the KSP App:
1.5 Million+ Users across Karnataka.
5,00,000+ Incidents Reported seamlessly.
1 Million+ e-Lost Reports filed.
Operational in 38 Control Rooms across 30 Districts.
The app ensures that every citizen’s voice is heard, every concern is addressed, and every interaction with law enforcement is streamlined for a better, safer tomorrow.
The Journey from CKM to State-Wide Launch
The KSP App’s story is rooted in a simple yet profound vision that began in Chikkamagaluru. On October 19, 2015, under the Police Quick Reporting System (PQRS) initiative, the CKM Police App was launched, creating a new paradigm of public-police interaction. It was a bold experiment in leveraging mobile technology to make safety accessible to everyone.
Launched by Inspector-General of Police (Western Range) Amrit Paul and Superintendent of Police K. Santhosh Babu, the app allowed citizens to report incidents, track FIR status, and locate the nearest police stations. It empowered people to seek help during emergencies and bridged the gap between administration and accessibility.
This success inspired its expansion:
Tumkur (January 10, 2016): The initiative gained momentum, proving its scalability.
Ballari (March 26, 2017): Further validation of its transformative potential.
Looking Ahead: A Shared Vision of Safety
The KSP App’s journey—from a modest district-level initiative to a state-wide success—shows the Karnataka State Police’s unwavering commitment to serve and protect. It is a beacon of innovation and collaboration that continues to transform lives across the state.
Together, we are building a safer, more connected Karnataka—one where safety is not just a promise but a shared reality.
